Amazon Original Series The New Yorker Presents, critically acclaimed following release of the pilot episode last year, is released exclusively on 16th February 2016 on Amazon Prime Video, based on content from The New Yorker, America’s most award-winning magazine.
Set to be a unique viewing experience, combining documentaries, short scripted narrative films, comedy, poetry, animation and cartoons, new episodes will bring the pages of the magazine to life, drawing upon the reporting, fiction, humour, poetry, and cartoons that distinguish The New Yorker.
The forthcoming season will feature content from award-winning narrative directors and A-list talent from the worlds of film, television, art, and music, and will debut provocative and insightful documentary films from America’s most acclaimed non-fiction filmmakers. The series is produced by Condé Nast Entertainment, Jigsaw Productions and Executive Produced by David Remnick, Alex Gibney, Kahane Cooperman, Dave Snyder, Dawn Ostroff and Henry Finder.
The New Yorker Presents joins Amazon Prime Video’s extensive library of leading original and exclusive shows, including Golden Globe® and Emmy® Award winning Transparent, two-time Golden Globe® Award winning shows Mr Robot and Mozart in the Jungle, Ridley Scott’s The Man in the High Castle, Norse hit drama Vikings, time-travel smash Outlander and Victorian thriller Ripper Street, amongst others.
