Vikings: Season Four
February 19th 2016 | Amazon Prime Video | On Demand
Vikings, the Norse-age drama from the award winning team behind The Tudors is returning to Amazon Prime Video for a fourth season on 19th February 2016. The ten episode run will air weekly on Fridays culminating in the season finale in April.
Treachery is the order of the day as season four picks up a couple of years after the bloody battle in Paris where Viking King Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) took on his wayward brother Rollo (Clive Standen). The new season explores their relationship in the wake of Rollo betraying his Norse heritage.
Heavyweight Finnish actor Peter Franzen (Ambush) will join the cast as King Harald Finehair, a Scandinavian warrior and potential rival to Ragnar while Dianna Doan (Descendants) takes the role of Yidu, a unique Chinese character pivotal to season four’s plot.
Katheryn Winnick (Love & Other Drugs) resumes her role as the vengeful Lagertha and Alyssa Sutherland (The Devil Wears Prada) returns as Princess Aslaug, the clever and beautiful daughter of a famed dragon slayer.
Creator Michael Hirst (Elizabeth, The Tudors) uses his considerable talent for historical storytelling to portray the fragility of life in the Dark Ages through the eyes of the Norseman and Vikings season four guarantees to deliver all the ruthlessness, betrayal and carnage expected of the hugely popular drama.
