From Friday 30th August to Sunday 1st September, around 45,000 people came from all over Norfolk and Suffolk to witness the line up of Sundown 2013. A huge event for the Norfolk calender and not to be missed.
This is a huge yearly event at the Norfolk Showground, where over Saturday and Sunday acts come from all over to perform across two stages. Some of this years line up included Example, Jessie J, Rita Ora, Dj Fresh and JLS. The site also offers weekend camping, which, this year had been moved to cater for more campers.
With a wide choice of activities to choose from, including face painting, paint balling, fairground rides and a ‘festival hot tub’ - however that’s not all! It’s the perfect weekend for both a group of friends and families to attend to.
“It’s the highlight of my year! I've been coming for 2 years now! I love spending time with my mates, listening to good music and making some real great memories" - Kaylee, 19
Jessie J was the main attraction this year, as the final act of the weekend, she had a lot to compete with. After releasing her second studio album this year. Her musical offerings were probably the best of the day. Hits like ‘Price Tag’ created huge sing-a-longs from the younger audience as well as the majority. Her voice hit every note spectacularly.
Sundown Festival organisers were pleased with the result of the weekend:
“It went very well. It was the most successful year so far,” said Sundown spokesman Dion Clements. “It was the biggest year yet. We had people coming from Scotland, Birmingham and Wales, all over the country.“
“The acts were superb and a huge amount of people enjoyed themselves.”
Planning for Next year is already under way!
