American Pop-Punk band All Time Low from Baltimore, currently on tour in the UK to promote their new album Last Young Renegade, arrived in Norwich at the UEA on March 30th – and man, they did not disappoint!

To begin with, support bands SWMRS and Waterparks both successfully worked their magic on the audience, who were well and truly warmed up in preparation for the main act. Indeed, the atmosphere was through the roof by the time All Time Low finally came on stage.

With flashing lights, the band came running on stage, opening their 17-song set with the very upbeat song ‘Kicking and Screaming’, from their 2015 album ‘Future Hearts’… and the crowd went wild.  The band continued the upbeat tempo with the next three songs, ‘Weightless’, ‘Somewhere in Neverland’ and ‘Six Feet Under the Stars’.

The natural easy chemistry between lead vocalist Alex Gaskarth and guitarist Jack Barakat on stage was clear to see, with Alex joking that Jack ate too many Tacos before coming on stage. The atmosphere was electric as the band continued their set with ‘Cinderblock Garden’ and ‘Canals’. Interaction between the crowd and the band was good too, with Jack even having bras thrown at him!

The wild atmosphere grew as the show continued. The band played two further songs from their hit album ‘Future Hearts’, and as Alex belted out ‘Something’s Gotta Give’ and ‘Kids in the Dark’, fans got on each other’s shoulders, and some were even crowd-surfing, accompanied by huge beach balls!

The boys then performed their latest single, ‘Dirty Laundry’ (from their new album, ‘The Last Renegade’), followed by the rarely-played-live track ‘Guts’, from their album ‘Dirty Work’.

Then the atmosphere changed dramatically, as the band left the stage leaving just Alex and his acoustic guitar, to play the quiet, emotional songs ‘Therapy’ and ‘Missing You’. A very powerful moment, some of the crowd were even moved to tears as emotions ran high.

The rest of the band soon returned to the stage to conclude the set, with ‘A Love Like War’ and ‘Backseat Serenade’ from ‘Don’t Panic: It's Longer Now!’, followed by ‘Take Cover’, a song exclusively on their live DVD ‘Straight to DVD 2’.

After the obligatory false ending, the subsequent encore was amazing. With the hit song ‘Lost in Stereo’, the crowd went wild as Jack danced around on stage. The band then began the last song of the evening, going out with a definite bang! As the boys started to play ‘Dear Maria, Count Me In’, vast amounts of confetti burst from the stage, so much so that you could barely see the band! What a show!
